P.E.S.’s Rajaram and Tarabai Bandekar College of Pharmacy, Ponda – Goa organized an webinar entitled “Registration as a Pharmacist and Career opportunities in the United Kingdom” on 29th June 2021 for the students of semester VI, VIII, M.Pharm. and faculty members. The speaker for the webinar, Mr. Vaibhav Nigalye, Pharmacist manager, Jhoots Pharmacy, Swindon, Wiltshire, United Kingdom is an alumnus of our institute.
Mr. Ritesh Naik, Secretary, Ponda Education Society and Patron for the webinar delivered the inaugural address. He applauded the students of the institute for the laurels they have achieved. He highlighted their achievements such as Gold medals at the University, obtaining admission to reputed institutions like NIPER and institutions abroad.
Principal Dr. S.N. Mamle Desai thanked Mr. Vaibhav for his kind gesture towards the institute and also emphasized the need for enlightenment in community and hospital pharmacy sector.
Dr. Mangirish Deshpande introduced the speaker Mr. Vaibhav Nigalye to the students.
Mr. Vaibhav a registered pharmacist in the United Kingdom enlightened the students on the scope of community and clinical pharmacy and the detailed process registration as a pharmacist in the United Kingdom. Mr. Vaibhav interaction and the students’ enthusiasm made the session interactive and successful.
The webinar was coordinated by Dr. Mangirish Deshpande, Dr. Pearl Dighe and Mrs. Soniya Phadte.
Dr. Pearl Dighe was the moderator for the session. The session was concluded by the vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Soniya Phadte.
