Academic Information

B PHARM
Course: Bachelor of Pharmacy (Semester Pattern)
Duration: 4 Years of 8 semester (with 1 month industrial training)
Total Intake for F.Y.B. Pharmacy: 100+10%*+5# *Economically weaker sections #TFW (Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme-Supernumerary quota(AICTE).

Eligibility Criteria
1.  Candidate should be an Indian National.

  1.  Age: student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.
  2. The applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XIIth) examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/Biology subjects.
  3. Valid Score at Entrance Test (GCET-2022): An applicant for Degree courses in Pharmacy, must have appeared and obtained valid score at the Goa Common Entrance Test, GCET conducted by Government of Goa for the year of admission. GCET score of the previous year/s shall not be valid. No minimum GCET score limit is specified for B.Pharm programme. The students with 10+2 qualification from non-formal and non-class room based schooling such as National Institute of Open Schooling,open school systems of States etc. shall not be eligible for admission to B.Pharm Course.

MQ – Management Quota
The abbreviations are as per common prospectus issued by DTE.

Admission under management quota (MQ)
Admissions under management quota shall be done according to merit determined by GCET . Out of 100 seats, 75+25+5 seats are filled at DTE, Government of Goa and 25 seats are reserved for Management Quota, admission of which is done at the office of P.E.S.’s Rajaram & Tarabai Bandekar College of Pharmacy, Farmagudi, Ponda Goa.

 

 

 

M PHARM
Course:Master of Pharmacy(Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Pharmaceutics)
Duration:2 years 4 semesters
Total Intake: Pharmaceutical Chemistry:15 Seats, Pharmaceutics:15 seats
Eligibility Criteria
1. TERMS
The academic session is divided into 4 semesters of 6 months duration each or as directed by PCI/AICTE/Goa University for pharmaceutical Chemistry/Pharmaceutics course.
A candidate shall be required to attend atleast 75% of the number of lectures and the number of participants for each subject of study in each semester and only then, subject to other conditions being fulfilled, be eligible to appear at either the college or the University Examination.
The Principal of the College will have the discretion to condone 10% of the attendance in theory and/or practical’s of any one subject if the Principal is fully convinced of the Student’s absence on grounds of health or reasons beyond control.
The University however, reserves its rights to condone the additional absence, if fully represented by the Principal only, if the missed practical’s of each subject are made as per rules to satisfaction of the Principal.
2. EXAMINATIONS
There shall be one university examination at the end of each semester.
A dissertation shall be submitted by the students on their project work at the end of the fourth semester to be evaluated by the University.
3. ELIGIBILITY
A candidate desirous of joining the M.Pharm course in Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Pharmaceutics in PES’s Rajaram and Tarabai Bandekar College of Pharmacy should:
Be an Indian national.
Has passed the Bachelor of Pharmacy examination from PES’s Rajaram and Tarabai Bandekar College of Pharmacy or any other Pharmacy Colleges in Goa or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 55% marks and qualifying at the GPAT- examination(whenever applicable).
1) NOTE:-
When GPAT qualified candidates are not available, candidates passing B.Pharm examination from university/colleges outside the state of Goa are considered.
2) Any seats remaining vacant will be offered to the eligible candidate passing B.Pharm examination from university/colleges outside the state of Goa.
