Faculty Development Programme under Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching funded by Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) was organized by P.E.S’s Rajaram and Tarabai Bandekar College of Pharmacy in collaboration with Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai from 18th-25th Sept 2019 in the area of Industrial Pharmacy-I.
Dr. Praveen Khullar, Head, Global Research from Sanofi-Synthelabo Pvt. Ltd and President, Goa Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers’ Association was present as a keynote speaker for inaugural function and he highlighted on current scenario of pharmaceutical research. Along with him Mr. Prakash Dharvatker, Mr. R.G Dessai and other members of Ponda Education Society were present for the occasion.
During the program 35 sessions were delivered by eminent resource persons like Mr. A.V. Kiran, Mr. Sagar Adichwal, Ms.Varsha Hawaldar, Ms. Hemalata Naik, Prof. S.N. Mamle Desai, Prof. J. Thimmasetty, Mr Mahesh Guranasinghani, Mr.Rajendra Naik, Mr.Sunil Dandekar, Dr. Fatima Sanjeri Dasankoppa, Mr. Himank Narvekar, Mr. Rakesh K , Mr. Atul Bandekar, Mr. Narendra Kumbhar, Ms. Pooja Pai Bir, Ms. Aparna parinam, Mr. Durgesh Talwadkar, Prof. Rajendra Doijad, Dr. Narendra Dongre, Prof.John D’Souza, Mr. Mangesh Sahane, Mr. Dhaval Parikh, Ms. Sangeeta Kanekar, Ms. Swapna Ajit, Ms. Shakira Inamdar, Mr.Pradeep Khot, Dr.Vandana Patravale from various pharmaceutical industries and renowned pharmacy colleges. Mr. Mahesh Guranasinghani, Director, Technology Transfer Watson-Teva Pharmaceutical Industries and vice-president GPMA guided the participants on contaminations and cross contamination.
Mr. Durgaprasad Waingankar , Site Head , Sun Pharma and Dr. Vandana Patravale , Professor, Institute of Chemical Technology graced the valedictory function of the programme.
21 faculties from Pharmacy colleges of Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka State participated in the programme. The programme was co-ordinated by Dr. Vikas Telvekar, Professor, ICT, Mumbai and Dr. S.N. Mamle Desai, Principal, P.E.S’s Rajaram and Tarabai Bandekar College of Pharmacy. Dr. Shilpa Bhilegaonkar, Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics, P.E.S’s Rajaram and Tarabai Bandekar College of Pharmacy was the convener of the programme.
During vote of thanks along with all the dignitaries, resource persons and participants, she thanked Shri. Ravi S. Naik, MLA of Ponda Constituency and President, Ponda Education Society, and Shri. Ritesh R. Naik, Secretary, Ponda Education Society, for their constant support and motivation for organizing this event. She also thanked Mr. Anant Naik and Mr. Rajendra Naik for their support in organizing this programme.
This Faculty Development Programme gave a very good platform to all participants to interact with resource persons on current issues related to pharmaceutical research, manufacturing and quality.
Day 1
